This project was a complete reroof of a 40,750 sf storage facility. Hurricane Maria caused serious damage to the existing roof system. Our crew had to grind and paint large areas of metal deck that had rusted from being exposed to weather, since Maria hit the Island.
One of the biggest challenges was getting the needed materials and equipment shipped to the island. Eight different 53′ Connex boxes had to be shipped from Jacksonville, Florida to San Juan Puerto Rico, then delivered to the jobsite on the South side of the Island.
The 8 man crew, led by Antonio Frias, installed a 20 year JM Granular Cap torch applied system. This roof was inspected and passed with no punch list items from the government or the manufacturer.
The project was finished on time, under budget, with no accidents and a perfect 10 inspection.
Great work! Crew is pictured L-R Scott Horton, Sergio Perez, Zach Chambers, Mr. Antonio Frias, Justin Bernert, Steven Morrison, Eddie Frias and Omar Armenta.
