This month we are focusing on a United States Coast Guard tenant improvement project located on the 35th floor of the Jackson Federal Building in downtown Seattle. The project includes completely re-vamping an existing office space into a Secure Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) and gives the Coast Guard a space to discuss and analyze TOP SECRET information. The project included installing sound proof wall assemblies, secure sound attenuating HVAC ducting and a fan coil air conditioning unit, a complete security system, secure data and telephone lines and framing a new entry way complete with a special STC-50 rated door. Special thanks to Lance Thielen and Trent Urdahl for making special trips to the project to move this project towards completion.
